A Handy location

A strategic location in Paris

Basically we are between two metro stops: Place d’Italie (metro lines 5, 6 and 7) and Les Gobelins (line 7). From Place d’Italie, you’ll get off at exit 3 (Vincent Auriol) and you’ll find yourself on a roundabout, across a KFC. When you leave the metro exit, go towards your left, going counterclockwise on the roundabout (away from KFC), until you reach Avenue des Gobelins (between the City Hall of our arrondissement and a café called Café d’Italie). Go down the street on the left hand until you find us at number 50, just next to pizzeria Dolce Romana.

If you take line 7, it’s easier to get off at Les Gobelins. Take exit number 4 (Manufacture des Gobelins). You’ll just have to go up the street a bit, on the right hand side, until you find us at number 50 on Avenue des Gobelins (and always next to the pizzeria Dolce Romana).

Now check how to get from the main airports and train stations to either Place d’Italie or Les Gobelins:

  • Airports
    CDG Airport (~50 min)
You’ll get off at Place d’Italie through line 6. To do so, just take the RER B towards Paris and change to metro line 6 (direction Nation) at Denfert-Rochereau to get off at Place d’Italie. The RER ticket covers the metro ride.
    Orly (~45 min / 80 min)
There are 2 ways: the long but cheap or the not-so-cheap but fast. The fastest: You’ll reach Place d’Italie through line 6. You’ll take the OrlyBus towards Paris, ending at Denfert-Rochereau station. There, you take the metro line 6 (direction Nation) to Place d’Italie. The OrlyBus ticket does not cover the metro ride. The cheapest You’ll get off at Les Gobelins. Take the tramway line 7 that leaves from terminal Orly Sud towards Villejuif/Louis Aragon. You’ll get off at the last stop (Villejuif/Louis Aragon) and you’ll take the metro line 7 (direction La Courneuve). Get off at Les Gobelins. You’ll need one ticket for the tramway and another to the metro.
    Beauvais (~2h)
You’ll get off at Les Gobelins through line 7… but Beauvais is a city that is so far from Paris that it is located even in a different region of France, called Hauts-de-France. So expect a bit of a trip: take their shuttle to Paris (Porte Maillot). After around 75 minutes, when you arrive at Porte Maillot, you’ll take the metro line 1 (direction Château de Vincennes) and then you’ll have to change to metro line 7 (direction Ivry/Villejuif) at station Palais Royal – Musée du Louvre. Finally, get off at Les Gobelins.
